7 gear randomly jerks

Good afternoon everyone hope all is well. Question: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 cheers to over 198,300 miles. There are times when maintaining a speed in 7 gear using cruise control I tend to notice every now and then but not always the gear will randomly jerk two times. I don't seem to worry about it but I have a curiosity as to what causes it to happen and should I eventually get concerned as mileage racks up?

Well you're really lucky it lasted this long. I would just baby it and pray it last as long as possible because when those go out they cost a small fortune and you're pretty much at the end of the lifespan for my experience with that kind of mileage.

@scottykilmer Yessirrrr. Are they known for producing a whining sound when flooring it or during braking?

Scotty doesn't revisit topics he has already answered.

That vehicle is known for having a weak transmission. As Scotty said just take it easy on the stupid thing and hope it lasts a while.

@chucktobias Will do. Yes I certainly will pray it last may it be cheers to 200K and still counting but its getting there. 2K more miles. My question to you is that a consequence for not ever having the transmission fluid changed while it was at 120K and under in mileage?

It's a consequence of that thing being a crappy, poorly-made vehicle that is prone to transmission problems.

@chucktobias Gotcha. Overall its been pretty reliable surprisingly. Great gas mileage, still has the power and still runs good. Code P0420 is forever gone now it throws four evap codes.
