How about Nissans from the 80s and 90s before Renault? They were obviously better built than Nissans of today, but would you still drive one in this day or not?
Clarification: As a daily driver or an occasional car?
As an occasional car
If I am driving to a local Cars and Coffee after “restoring” the vehicle, that’s one thing. But as a daily driver putting 15,000-20,000 miles a year (like I do), where one bad accident can mean your life (safety then not like on modern vehicles), then no I would not drive it. Also, those did not ride all particularly well - I need a little more comfort than that.
I would, but I have a garage full of tools and no need to show up to work on time (retired). The Z cars and the 240s are nice, but I would only get a manual trans on an old car.
