I have a chance at getting a 1983 Chevy C10 although I think it might be a C20. It has an either 61,099 or 161,099 miles, just can’t tell.
Are these trucks fairly reliable? What should I be looking for apart from the usual rust issues.
I have a 93’ Honda Del sol I’d have to sell to get this truck. The Del sol is in immaculate working condition. I’ve always wanted one of these square bodies but I don’t know if it’s worth giving up the Honda for.
I attached the marketplace ad. Thoughts?
Thanks!

The truck has a straight body, no dents or wrecks.

Don't even think about considering it as a Daily Driver. You will go crazy trying to fix things. Not worth a Honda, imo. Using it as a toy on the weekends is one thing, driving it on a daily basis is quite another.
They were reliable in the 1980s. Are you honestly expecting day-to-day reliability after 40 years?
Sure. A 40 year old pickup is a great hobby project for someone who's mechanically inclined. Beautiful truck. Will need lots of time, love and affection.
