my 85 caprice v8 5.7 carb engine stumbles when you shut it off. i had the plugs, wires, and cap and rotor changed out and it is running worse now. it is missing when it idles, but when your driving it straightens out. Ideas?
Try timing it with a timing light

just replacing parts without knowing what is wrong is a foolhardy way to go.
take it to a repair shop and quit guessing

Have the fuel meter assembly checked for proper function. GM part number 17110657.
