I just bought an 86 k10 that had been abandoned for many years next to a barn. We got it back running and the last gremlin that I am trying to catch is the headlights. Its the 4 headlight system. It all looks factory ( not hacked up). I have all running lights, signals, and brakes, but no headlights. I changed the in dash switch, nothing. There IS power to the switch at all of the wires. The grounds at the lights look good and are not rusted. Where should I go next?
If the dimmer switch is shot that can prevent the headlights from working. Obviously make sure it's not a fuse, relay, or just burned-out headlights.
Sometimes the connectors for the headlights short out from people taking them in and out so many times. Test the power to the connecter to the headlight.
