Hello. I am purchasing a Lexus IS350 F Sport 2021 AWD. 3.5L V6. I would like to know if I can get away with running 87 octane gas. I have been running my current Lexus IS250 2008 with 87 which has a V6 and it has been fine other than a few past events (rebuilt trans and new catalytic due to sensor issues which may have been relative to gas or jus the bad year which I’ve been told is one of the worst years for the IS with maintenance plus it was in minor accidents )…I am getting such mixed answers on this it’s crazy. One mechanic told me it’s fine, a trans mechanic told me run 89 minimum, and another told me only 91. I don’t know who to believe so Scotty or someone in the Kilmer network please let me know prior to this big purchase tomorrow ! Really appreciate it.
