Hi Scotty I'm looking at a wonderfully kept 1992 Toyota Celica, the previous owner says he's a retired mechanic with a lift in his garage, and he's been maintaining it for his mom to use as a daily driver, the car has 71,000 original miles on it and according to him the Brakes, Struts, Brushings, Tires, Rims, and Timing Belt have all been changed out at some point in the last 3 - 5 years. He is selling the car at 5,000 which is steep for a car thats almost 30 years old, but if everything is as he says the car could turn out to be a gem. My only concern is that he says he hasn't messed with the Automatic Transmission fluid in the time he's owned the car
Would this be worth it?
Also as a sidenote: What would be the appropriate Engine Oil/Trans Fluid to use in a 1992 Toyota Celica GT?
Well you'll never find another one like that but they really are not collectibles . Do have a mechanic check it out I recently had a customer buy one like that and that's what he paid he paid $4,500 bucks I had twice the mileage that one has on it so it just depends on what you want to buy yeah you just use the same oil transmission fluid that Toyota put in the factory stuff if you do buy it
Does not worth 5k. They are not collectible and you can not use that as a daily driver either.
