- Hi Scotty, I have a 2014 Cadillac Escalade Platinum. I have noticed after the car warms up , when turning the wheel at slow speeds that there is a squeak which sounds like it is coming from the steering column.. it seems to make the wheel slightly harder to turn. No power steering whine heard and it almost sounds like something needs lubrication. It’s very quiet and can only be heard if the it’s quiet. It cannot be heard from the outside of the car. Tried lubricating the column down near the floor board but that didn’t seem to help . Any ideas would be helpful ... does this sound like an expensive fix?

- What a cheap plastic wrap and they're off and squeaks and rubs if WD-40 doesn't help if you can see where it's rubbing you might get a small file and file away the plastic part does rubbing

If it's not the plastic, then lube the u-joint.
