My 93 Jeep Wrangler stalled out of the blue when shifting to 4 wheel drive and would not start seemed flooded. I left it to sit for a week and it started right up but ran rough. I turned it off and now it won't start with a strong smell of gas in the engine compartment. what shoulder I check 1st it gets gas and spark

You have not told us which engine you have or what the mileage is.
Are the spark plugs wet with gas? Also see the site FAQ troubleshooting section.
