'94 4Runner: Diagnostic Codes 14 & 71. O/D Light Flashes

Hello I'm having issues with my 1994 Toyota 4Runner, 186k miles, A/T, RWD. Has a junkyard transmission that shifts well! I had a Garage install it recently. I can hear rattling when I decelerate what's going on?

So I did some digging and found that 14 means Ignition Signal Fault and 71 means EGR Fault? I'm thinking I should clean the EGR Valve? What about Code 14? Any suggestions?

Also the O/D light blinks steady. What should I check for? How can I attempt these repairs? I have the Haines Repair Manual.

Well, if it's rattling it has that ignition signal code. I would assume the distributor is probably worn out get a electronic stethoscope they're cheap enough and listen to see if you can pinpoint the noise coming from the distributor
