Hi Scotty
I have an old 94 1500 suburban. The AC quit working. A mechnic found a rotted pipe that goes back to the rear evaporator. He wants $1600 to replace it along with recharging the system. I was wondering could rear AC refrigerant tubes be bypassed. The dash looks identical to the 1500 pickup truck. All I need is cold air to blow out of the dashboard. I understand the system will still need a charge. I don't want to put $1600 into a 29 year old. I rarely carry more than myself and my wife these days.
