I have a 94 Celica that (WAS) in mint condition and only had 184,000 miles. The dealer informed Me of my worst nightmare of the Rod knocking in the engine and stopped running. As We all know this car is a classic and I would like to know where can I begin my search for a reliable replacement engine. Or I can tow it to You if Your under 300 miles from Cincinnati, OH. Well, there's plenty of places that have used Japanese engines. Try to find one in your area. Years ago I put one of my son's car cost me 550 bucks for the motor and I put it in. I'm getting old and I don't mess with that stuff anymore and then I suppose the prices are probably gone up to but there's lots of guys that have used Japanese engines from japan
