Hello! I have a Honda del sol SI 1.6L with 52,000 miles. It sat in an old ladies yard for a number of years. The car has thrown me a code 8 TDC sensor a few times now. Car runs fine nothing super noticeable. Car does idle a little funny on occasion with a little jump when sitting for awhile. Other than it drives fine! It did the same for the previous owner. The previous owner replaced the distributor and ecu (went through two ecus) already. It doesn’t consistently throw the code. I’ve taken it to two Honda certified mechanics with no success. Sometimes I can go two weeks without the code being thrown, but today oddly after a bad storm the car threw the code at me again. Any ideas? Can provide more information if need be!
The PGM-FI troubleshooting flowchart says to check connector C213 at the right shock tower for an intermittent issue (you already replaced the sensor)

It looks like there's a couple of connectors at that location.

The connector you want to check is C213.
It's the one with the connector configured like this:

It looks like it has 9 wires. (Position 8 looks like it isn't used)
Even though you use mechanics this is something you can check yourself if you want.
You just want to disconnect the connector and look at the male and female sides of the connector for any signs of water intrusion/corrosion.
Green or white crusty stuff. Then check the wiring between that connector and the distributor and to the PCM. Look for any spots that the protective loom may have rubbed through on something metal and may have a wire inside at that location with damaged insulation.
Since this last episode happened after a bad storm when everything got wet, a short in the connector or wiring seems like a possibility
