I have a 95 suburban k1500 with 5.7 engine...it idles fine when running but when driving down the road and it hits overdrive it starts to surge when holding your speed but when you give it a little more gas the surge quits and runs fine... its driving me nuts

Knowing those things are overdrive starting to go out that's pretty much typical and how they act up

According to the guy i got it from the trans was pro rebuilt about 3 years ago and he thinking the EGR valve could be the issue...whats your take on that sir?
