Hi, i have a 95 Corolla with a 1.6L engine, 215000 miles. With an oil change it takes 5qts. It burns a quart every 1000 miles so by 5000 miles it essentially has all new oil. I do oil changes every 5k, should i bother with oil changes?

Please use the search before making a new post. I know it seems really hard, but you actually get an answer faster, and we don't have to repeat ourselves hundreds of times. Thanks.

Every time you add 1 quart of clean oil to the remaining 4 quarts of dirty oil you wind up with 5 quarts of dirty oil.

Do the oil changes.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. It's more 20 model years old, it has over 200k miles, engines wear out. You may not a rebuild soon if it's burning that much over that small amount of miles at a time. I'd Honestly would just keep changing the oil and its filter and ride it out. Toyotas are great, but Hondas are better because of the better engine.
