If Scotty really loves his 94 Celica, would it be a good idea to get a 96 Celica with 264,000 mi as a daily driver? It looks really maintained and if it's definitely worthy of a car then I'd pay for a mechanic to look at it. I'm trying not to be too desperate for a daily driver beater car where I don't have to come across scammers and salvaged cars or clean title cars with accidents on reported. Any thoughts?
No. That is a lot of mileage. You didn't even mention price or where its being sold at. The real question is: How much are you willing to gamble on a 26 year old car?
That's a big resounding NO.
Scotty bought his a long time ago, for a few hundred bucks, and it didn't have that many miles.
a daily driver beater car
Driving a beater daily is a great way to lose all your hair.
