I've got a 97 Honda Accord SE with 98,000 miles. It had a small lead when purchased a few months back. Changed the oil pan. The leak persisted, so changed the valve cover as well. The leak stopped for a while, but has returned. Top of engine is free of oil. What might be the next logical sources to inspect?

Use UV dye to find the source of the leak.
.
Scotty has videos on his YouTube channel on how to use this product. You will also need special glasses and flashlight. Just watch his video and you will become an expert on finding oil leaks.
UV due would be your best bet.
One place to look would be the VTEC solenoid. It uses oil to actuate VTEC, and the plastic gasket inside seems to shrink and dry out overtime, potentially causing a leak.
