After selling my Corvette, I am looking for another toy to replace it. I don’t plan to put much miles on it and ideally want something that won’t lose too much of its value over time. Which of the following two vehicles do you think will hold more of its value (percentage wise of MSRP) over time: the Acura Integra Type S or the Lexus LC500? Both of these will be “end of an era” type vehicles for their respective brands before they move to electrification. (Adding @FJCruiser2014)
Thank you.
Personally I would go with the Lexus lc500. I think having a v8 engine is something that will be very very missed by car enthusiasts down the road and will give a significant edge to the lc500 over the Acura Integra. If price isn't an issue for you go with the Lexus.
which years are you thinking? If you get a toy, then get it for the joy of driving, not for resale value somewhere in the future.
I think the new Integra looks silly like a toy. Target market is probably teenagers. Just looking at it I can feel the jarring suspension.
The LC looks a bit better, more refined, and it's probably a more comfortable ride. If used, it's less likely to be raced.
doesn't seem to be very popular though

The Integra Type S is currently sought after whereas the LC hardly sells. In a way that is good, because it keeps production numbers low. Maybe in the future it will be desired once people realize what the heck it was. Anyways, both are good choices and resale value does matter to me. BTW, the new Type S rides very well and is refined over its sibling the Civic Type R; you could argue the Civic Type R has a younger target audience in mind compared with the Integra Type S which is more refined (still sporty but more refined).
.
Here is a good review of the Type S:

don't forget that you're buying in an inflated market. If you end up selling in a high supply market, you're not going to do as well as you did with your Corvette (which was the opposite situation). Cars are not normally a good 'investment commodity'. The present situation is an exception.
Imho, there is more upside with the Integra Type S, but the LC500 is probably the “better” car.
The Integra has more of a history and folks gawk over it because it is named Integra and it is a Type S. It just seems more sough after.
my guess is down the line, they will be going for about the same price, even though the LC500 costs much more right now.
but what do I know, no one can predict the future. Lol.
