My truck has 306000 miles with 150000 on engine. Also, trans shifts fine and fluid is still red. I don't know when it was changed last. Do you recommend any additives and should trans fluid be changed? Thanks

If the fluid isn't gritty, then yeah I would change it. You can keep the old fluid just in case.
Does it have an Allison transmisson? Those are pretty tough and can take some abuse.

No. Not if it's shifting fine.
