I have a 98 Acura RL with about 250,000 miles. It sometimes clunks putting it into reverse. It also clunks sometimes when letting off of the accelerator or when braking. What do you think is the cause of the clunking?

I’d start with your transmission mounts, and then continue on to your engine mounts.
