1999 Isuzu rodeo LS 3.2. when I got the car the ignition was out, taken apart. I have some parts to the inside (wire, solder, contacts) ignition. that the inside the white cylinder. inside the white cylinder I can take jump wires and I can connect it to the accessory to the ignition to the starter and get it to turn but I it won't ever start all the way. I got a brand new battery. I need to know if I'm doing that correctly .

You need a wiring diagram and probably a shop manual. A short term subscription to ALLDATAdiy might be a good idea if you can't find the information free online anywhere.
