On Sunday I bought a 99 toyota avalon from a older lady with 126 thousand miles on it for 600 bucks said she didn't know why but it keeps over heating well the radiator had a hole in it and I found out the thermostat was stuck closed so I replaced both. It still needs tie rods and ball joints did I get a good buy?

Unfortunately no, that engine is know for oil sludge issues. As for the other things it needs, fix them and then drive the car until the wheels far off.
