hey Scotty question , a buddy of mine has a 2018 Chevy Silverado V6 custom with 52,000 and i checked the transmission fluid and it s getting a dark color and seems it needs to be change i was thinking of taking it to the dealership ship but I'm afraid that if they change it and it start to slip they won't do anything about what is the best recommendation

Why would it slip? Of course the tranny fluid and filter needs to be changed. It's called maintenance.

Find a good independent mechanic to do the job or do it yourself.
