I have a 2016 Toyota Camry LE with a 2.5L engine and automatic transmission. The car has 108K miles. I was the original owner and have taken good care of it. It have been completely trouble-free until now. The problem is that the A/C stopped working consistently. Specifically, when I first turn it on there is no cold air. However, after a few minutes driving on the highway it starts blowing cold just like it should. It then stays on like nothing was wrong. However, if I turn the A/C off and turn it on again a little later, or start the car after being off the A/C doesn't blow cold until 3 - 5 minutes of highway driving. There doesn't appear to be any leaks or other problems under the hood. This problem just started one day out of the blue. Would you be able point me in the right direction in resolving this problem? Thanks.
Have you actually checked for leaks using UV dye or an electronic sniffer? (Service valves are a common leak point.) Checking high and low pressures using a manifold gauge set might provide some clues.
