A/C Problems in my 2013 Honda Fit.

My A/C in my 2013 Honda Fit does not work at all. I watched the video about fixing my A/C. I thought my car was out of freon. I bought gages and hooked them up. The low side is high and the high side is low. Overall it does not appear to be short on freon. How do I troubleshoot this?

75psi on the low.

80psi on the high.

Reading the pressures will not tell the whole story. You need to professionally evacuate the freon and refill. Be sure to add dye so you can pinpoint the leak if there is one.

Pressures on both sides are very close, looks like the compressor is not working.

Verify the clutch is working and does not short cycle. Low side pressures should decrease and high side pressures should increase as rpm increases. If the clutch is working, the compressor is not.

Its possible that the compressor clutch has gone out. Try this: when the car is idling turn the air all way up and then turn the A/C on. Do the RPMs of the vehicle dip?
