Hi all, I bought my SUV (2010 mitsubishi pajero/montero/shogun v6 3.8, 80k miles) about two weeks ago and I have a question that I would like your recommendation on. The sticker inside the hood where it says the type of oil, coolant and more specifications says to put orange coolant, but now it has green coolant. According to the maintenance book, mitsubishi changed the coolant 15k miles ago. (The previous owner did the maintenance at mitsubishi service). Do I have to change it to orange?
If you want more information ask me and I will be happy to answer. Thanks
Call up the Mitsubishi dealer who performed the last coolant service and ask them what type of coolant did they fill in your vehicle.
Thanks!!!
It's not the color of antifreeze that matters it's what type it is you want to use oat coolant which stands for organic acid technology. It doesn't matter what color it is you can use any of them that's a coolant for modern cars and the guys at the store I can tell you which ones do you use just make sure it's oat
Thanks!! And is there any way to now if the one that is already on the car is oat?
