So I have a 2012 Ford F-150 and I went to change my wheel bearing and the pigtail that connects to the wheel speed sensor wire is deteriorating and it has to be replaced what is the best method for joining the new pig tail to the existing vehicle harness

By soldering the wires together then the ceiling them with that plastic wrap that you heat up with a hair dryer and it melt so water can intrude after your solder it together
