I have a 2012 Ford F-150 3.7 liter v6 I have always got this intermittent grinding howling noise at certain speeds I replaced the 4wd hub actuators the 4wd vacuum lines the solenoid the check valve replaced all brakes and rotors all calipers and I still hear this noise I can also feel it in the floor boards mostly when I’m at slower speeds 30-50 mph have any suggestions I was going to replace wheel bearings but wheels have no play I also changed transfer case fluid
Could this be my front differential
Can you make a YouTube video of the noise & post the link here?
So I went to check my front diff fluid and I could instantly tell that it was empty so I bought two quarts of Lucas 80w90 and it took every last drop I took for a spin and haven’t replicated the noise yet we’ll see if this was the problem I’ll update but can’t think where the fluid could have went even my transfer case was dry {black}:idontknow:
All I can say to everyone who drives a truck change these fluids transfer case fluid front differential fluid and rear axle fluid it’s cheap and easy just wish I knew this long time ago or thought to check or change them don’t make the mistake I did
thank you
