I'm not sure what you're asking. The model that came with your car is best for performance. If you have some kind of leak, it's best to be left to a mechanic whose specialty is HVAC stuff.
@justin-shepherd, maybe a restomod replacing an ancient AC system with something like a modern Vintage Air setup? That's about the only situation I can think of where you might want to do that kind of modification. Without any information on the kind of vehicle or what the issue is we can only guess.
Just roll the windows down, lol. I was driving my Pontiac with the windows down almost every other day when it was summertime, last year.
