Hi Scotty,
I have a 2008, Honda Civic, 2door, LX, 5 speed manual with 166,000 miles. I bought the car in 2021 with 150,000 miles and I noticed then the air didn't blow very cold then. I tried adding a little to it with the a dyi can and was afraid I added to much. So, I took it to a local shop in Mt. Juliet TN and ask them to empty it and fill it with the correct amount. The A/C compressor looks brand new and turns on when the air is turn on and both fans work. It was better for a while but not perfect still. Now, this summer 2023 it wouldn't blow cold at all, it would only blow hot air. So I put a set of gauges on it and both the low and high where very low. So, I figured it had a leak and bought a small 5oz can of freon with UV died and added one shot. Held it down for 3 seconds as per the instruction which said it equals to 3 oz. Then drove the car and then searched for leaks with a UV light and yellow glasses but I didn't find any leaks at all. However I felt like it was because the ac wasn't charged enough so I added a 12 oz can, then weighed a second as I added it until I got a total 15.9 oz which is what the sticker says it needed. I also replace the cabin air filter and cleaned the condenser. It started working better then but if it is really hot like 90 plus with high humidity, it only blows about 10 decrees less than the outside temp. I have a temp gauge in the main vent to measure the temp and I bought a leak detector and I still cannnot find any leaks. Anyway, Yesterday when I drove home from work, the temp was 87 and the humidity was 43%. The temp was around 50 degrees which is way better but why is not in the 40's like it should be and why is it colder only when the temps are comfortable outside? It actually got closer to 40 later on but it was almost dark outside then and I wasn't in stop and go traffic either. Just wondering what you think the issue really is? Thank you for all you do and for sharing your knowledge on you tube.
Thank you,
Ben

Did you check the evaporator drain for a possible evaporator leak? That's sometimes overlooked when checking with UV dye.

You're probably overcharged now which is at least as bad as undercharging. At this point it is unknown how much refrigerant is in there. (I hope you didn't use refrigerant containing sealer which can plug up parts in the AC system.)
You might try checking operating temperatures to get an idea of what's going on.
