Hey Scotty, my 2001 Subaru Legacy L - Sedan with about 169,200 miles with automatic transmission squeaks when AC is on. It's doesn't when I don't press the AC button, but when I do, it does a high pitch squeaking type noise. Did some belt slip? It's fine on country/town roads since I always drive when my windows down, but on the highway, I always keep them close.

Could be a worn belt, loose tensioner, or worn compressor clutch.
