I have recently purchased a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x2 and have noticed really slow throttle response. Is there anyway to fix this short of putting a aftermarket device on the truck? I’ve researched one called Sprint Booster that has good reviews I’m just a little worried about putting this on a brand new vehicle. Do you have any opinion on this?
Thanks
I wouldn't touch anything aftermarket while the truck is under warranty. IF you did, and there was a problem with your engine (that might be the cause of less than satisfying throttle response) Toyota and/or the dealership might try to void your warranty. One of the good scan tools Scotty demonstrates would tell you if the fuel mixture, throttle, ignition, cam phasing, etc. were working properly. Have that done/do that first.
If you are serious about aftermarket parts, a good scanner would be good to have to check and adjust things anyway.
This would be a good place to discuss/check on aftermarket stuff and mods.
