2010 accord 4 Dr sedan, 154k miles, well maintained. Other night while not pressing gas or brakes I heard a dragging noise (not really grinding). I had it towed the next day to my normal shop..they cleaned some rust & dirt off rotors, said pads are fine (none below a 5.5 mm). They explained that the humidity we’ve had in TX lately can cause some issues even just overnight. Can dirt/rust on rotors cause a dragging sound really? I’ve taken my car there for 13 yrs but still worried since I’m traveling out of town this weekend.

did the sound go away by itself after a few brake applications?
