Accord Running lean

Hey Scotty,

Happy to see the new website and that you are settling in nicely in your new home. All the best to that!

Now to my issue:

I have a 2007 Honda Accord 2.4L (5 speed automatic) with 146,00 kms on it. While using my bluedriver and reading live data on the trims I noticed that the engine was running lean (pic attached of what I saw).

What could I do to fix this and make my engine run properly again?

Cheers...

  1. Do you have a check engine light on? Factory ECUs can usually adjust timing to compensate for these kinds of conditions. If there is not a code I wouldn't worry too much about it BUT if you're looking for a few easy things to do on a Sunday afternoon that might help try cleaning the air sensor, checking your air filter, and inspecting the Evap/vacuum systems for damage to the vacuum hoses.  I have worked on many Honda Accords of that generation and they are great cars that typically have simple problems that are easy to correct. Keep in mind your car is getting old and tired with that much mileage even though it should still last you a little while longer. If it's not really broken dont go looking for problems to fix.
