Acura TSX 2012?

Hey everyone, I found an automatic TSX 2012 with the premium package for about $11 000 Canadian. It has 108xxx km (~67108 miles), no accident, 1 owner, full service at Acura dealers every 5-9k. Any opinions or things to look out for before purchasing?

Much appreciated!

It’s an excellent vehicle. Just look for rust. These cars do rust!

Anyway, … have it inspected by independent shop. Make sure all the gizmos work. Expensive to fix not working gizmos!

Price? I don’t know, depends in what part of Canada. Manual transmission ones are generally trashed by now, … and go cheap in most cases. Automatics? Asking prices are all over the place. Excellent condition cars fetch pretty lofty prices, … at least in my end of the woods. fwiw

Watch for the automatic transmission on these cars.

Yes, … early on ‘09-‘10. There were two recalls, … both reprogramming. After that, no trouble at all.
Anyway, … I’m following two ‘10 and ‘11 models since new, both automatic, both in 185,000 km range by now, … no problem, mechanically. Body wise, … both are showing rust penetration from inside out all around. Both going to be disposed off in the next month or so, … so the owners claim. fwiw.

Seems like a good car just watch out for common problems for example the 2.4 engine in those years is known to have engine rattles and there are some other issues do research on those (like power steering failure for 2021 MY) and have a mechanic check for them.

They can certainly be good cars if they aren't ragged out and are taken care of.

The price is alright I'd shoot for $9000 Canadian
