Hello, I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport V6 4WD Access Cab 6ft bed with a manual transmission. I love the truck but It is an expensive payment ea. month. I recently stumbled upon an ad with 2012 Toyota Tacoma regular cab with the ultra reliable 2.7L 4 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual, 2WD, with only 48k miles, priced at a little over $16k. I owe $21k on my truck but I got an offer for a little over $34k with the original financed amount for $33k. That would put $13k in my pocket. Do you think it would be worth the downgrade?
My first thought is that I'd only do it if you don't put on many miles. The old one is low miles, but it's old.
Whether it's worth it is subjective, and how much you need the $. They're very different trucks, and most people would consider your current one more desirable. But if you drive the old one and it isn't too slow compared to what you're used to, maybe so.
