Hello Scotty!

I have just recently discovered your channel, and i love it. Im kind of a dumb dumb when it comes to cars and i appreciate you honest advice and tips.

I have recently totaled by 2013 Civic and am looking at purchasing a cheap car. I expect to put around 5,000 miles annually on the new vehicle. While i look for a good deal on a lexus (which is hard to find), I am considering older Cadillac CTS 2004-2009 with around 100,000 miles. Do you have any suggestions of things i should look for or avoid? Are Cadillacs decent cars or do they become problematic at higher miles or older age? Any further thoughts would be appreciated. Keep up the good work! Your channel is awesome, super entertaining and mega informative. I Thank You Sir!

Kind Regards

PaulG

I would pass as parts for those are expensive and they do not age well.

I would avoid them esp. at that mileage and definitely any with the high feature V6 engine.  They don’t hold up as they age and accumulate mileage, esp. the electronics.

Typical GM low quality + expensive to keep on the roads = nightmare ownership experience
