Hey Scotty, I have a 2013 Hyundai Accent. It has a little over 87,000 miles. I was driving home from work and the car just shut down while it was moving.. I turned it off then restarted it. The eps light came on. After I got home I parked and turned it off, I restarted it and no light. A few days later I was driving it and it and it instantly turned off and back on. I drove it about 100 feet then it accelerated and when back to normal. I took it to a shop and they couldn’t find anything wrong. They did a diagnostic test. And showed no issues they said. There has to be a reason why my car would do this. Please help, if you can.
that's a tough one to solve over the internet. My money is on electrical connection. What does an eps light mean?
Electronic Power Steering (EPS).
I think I would take a look at the wiring harness for the EPS. The harness may be compromised causing a short between 2 or more circuits. If you don't see anything obvious, wiggle the wiring harness and see if doing that duplicates the problem.
