Hey Scotty I recently inherited a 2015 vw cc with the 2.0t ea888 engine and a 6 speed dsg with 102,000 miles since then I put about 1500 miles on the car and it still runs and drives like a dream, I plan on keeping the car until it dies besides changing the oil every 5,000 miles and carbon cleaning is there any other maintenance tips you recommend to keep it running as long as possible?
Get the manufacturer replacement guidelines for the car and follow those specifications. Most people don't follow them and that's why they become money pits.
These can be great cars but dealer service is prohibitively expensive. Have the trans fluid changed as these cars can suffer from slipping torque converters which can trash the trans as they shed friction material. You already know that cleaning the carbon is important on these, but there's no sure way to do that beside removing the intake. The turbo diverted valves on these give trouble regularly so keep an eye on boost levels. Lastly, change the cam follower for the high pressure fuel pump every 60k or so - many of these were soft and can lead to a ruined cam.

Thank you for the advice, since 120,000 miles is gonna be coming up soon I’ll make sure to do the cam Follower and change the trans fluid
