Soon I will be installing a new AC compressor. Back in the days prior to computers in cars, I would install, evacuate the system, check for leaks, and jumper the low pressure switch to activate the AC clutch. Then fill with refrigerant. With today's computers does one need to tell the computer to activate the compressor? Or when therefrigerant is added will the system detect such and activate the compressor?
thanks
Well all the ones I've worked on don't need it. You just start adding refrigerant the switch nose and then it turns the compressor on
