2005 Subaru Forester center air vents not blowing air. Left and right air vents are blowing air.
Picture-
*Cabin Air filter changed in October.
*Blower motor sounds fine.
*Cleaned out the air intake under the windshield.
I figured it out. The cable to the vent selector got bent. Ordering a new one. I manually moved the plastic piece on the other end of the vent selector cable and the air blew through the vents. For now I'm leaving the vent selector on face and feet and the air blows fine. Thanks everyone!
wow cable driven controls in 2005
the ducting inside the dashboard may have shifted and come loose
Bad blend door actuator, gonna need a bi directional scanner to confirm....
Blend door actuator should be fine as long as temps change as they should but I would think mode door actuator but if it’s switching to the side vents it would be some sort of internal issue in the heater box
I should mention the side vents blow normal and the middle vents have very little air coming out. I was thinking there might be a block somewhere.
That trim panel around the radio should come off taking the vents out with it. I would take that out and look inside during operation and see what you can see
