if i take out the airbag fuse with the sensors disconnected will the airbags still deploy?

Not when they were programmed to deploy, no.

unhook your battery just to be safe
i need to connect the battery to open the trunk, that is the basis for this question my apologies
then open it first. or there's no way to open it with a key?

crikey. well pulling the ABS fuse should be enough
