Scotty my dream car is an Alfa Romeo Giulia. If I buy one is there any way I can make it last or is it truly just junk?

Beautiful cars and seem enjoyable to drive when they run. If you really want one lease it and return it when.you are done.

It would be like a high maintenance girlfriend.

Scotty has mentioned Alpha Romeo in numerous videos.  See below at 2:35.  Regarding the Alpha Romeo Guilia, only lease it and do not buy it.  Lease under warranty and return before the bumper to bumper warranty is up.  Even then, you run a good chance of making unexpected visits to the dealers (Alpha dealers few and far between) during ownership.

They're a whole pile of fun to drive, i'd liken it to a cheaper version of driving a Ferrari or Maserati. Its said that someone is never truly a car enthusiast until they've lived with an Alfa.

But they're about as reliable as the Italians in WW2, lease it only and even then it'll spend more time in the shop than on the roads.

As others have said, lease it, it is not a car you can expect to keep going long term. Put some money aside to buy an old Toyota you can drive while the Alfa spends time in the shop. (Early samples given to the automotive press for reviews were breaking down on test drives.)

They are better than Fiats, but they are still JUNK. If you had to have one, just lease it, then you can have fun with it for few years and then get rid of it when the lease is up. Don't buy one new or used since they are endless money pits.

Hurry up and buy that Giulia if you have to - according to this article they stopped building them.

Sure, go get it!

It’ll last for years as a stunning lawn ornament.

They look cool. And that grill is very unique. I have a friend that LEASED one and returned it after the contract was up. No major problems. And the key word is LEASE.

If you want a car that will last beyond a lease period, look elsewhere.

If you have the money to burn on a lease, go for it! I would never buy an Alfa.

Run away ! I heard that Alpha Romeos are such endless money pits that the cars actually pull a gun on you, take your credit card and roll off to the dealership by themselves without a driver to get half their parts replaced. Lol jk but those are not very reliable and they’re pretty expensive to fix.
