I have seen your YouTube video on thinkobd scanner and it looks great. Would this work on a Subaru Legacy 2.5L year 2000 engine? Many thanks
Clarification: what do you need the scanner to do?

Well I have actually changed my opinion on that tool there are many out there that are much better for the same type of money you want a good scan tool just get a blue driver that works with your phone it's 99 bucks
Would it work equally well on Android and Apple phones?
