Hello. I drive a 1993 Mazda MX-3 1.6L with 87,000 miles on it. Recently i’ve taken it to the shop 4 times and had my alternator replaced. Currently it runs for a day or two and the battery light comes on. I’ve changed the battery, alternator, and timing belt but the car keeps shutting off. For example, RPMs stop running, lights flicker, radio stops working, a/c stops working. I was wondering what you think the problem is? could it be the fuses?
timing belt has nothing to do with charging. I think you mean serpentine/accessory belt.
make sure all the connections are clean and tight.

What if the battery terminals are fine?
great. battery terminals are fine. Move on to the ...
- terminal on the alternator
- alternator to battery positive cable
- alternator to battery fusible link
- battery to body ground
- engine to body ground
- Fuses and relays
- ignition switch
- etc.
arm yourself with an electrical diagram and meter . Or ... pay a mechanic
When the car shuts off, what do you do to make it run again? If you jump start it, then the charging system (battery/alternator or both) has issues.
I jump it but I had both of those items changed twice.
Have you load test them?
I changed the battery terminals. changed my battery again today, took it to autozone to get the alternator and battery today and they said it was a bad alternator. but every time I change the battery and alternator, the same things happen. I checked the fuses today as well.
Thanks for the update. You might simply have had a bad alternator. Check the battery voltage and charging voltage for next couple of days. Hopefully, this time there won't be an issue.
