Hello saw an advertisement for a device that turns your alternator on and off so to speak to save up to 30% gas mileage. Do you have any information about these?

Don’t fall for it! Automakers would have already implemented that if it truly worked, and they are already up against the wall trying to meet ever stringent CAFE standards.
They actually did implement it. That why you don't need this.
It doesn't return 30% fuel savings either, just a tiny incremental savings as manufacturers scramble to meet ever-burdensome, over-the-top CAFE standards. That kind of percentage claim (30%) is a sure snake oil indicator.
That's true. 30% is a big fat lie.
