I have a Dodge Charger 2010, 5.7 hemi. The car turn off with the battery sign. Found out the alternator was bad pretty much burned. put a new alternator but it shows only 11.2 volt. Thought it was a bad alternator again. 2nd one same issue. The mechanic said the part is bad again. This time I took it to a shop and asked the to rebuilt the alternator for me. Check the alternator before installing good voltage. Replaced and same issue. The car starts with a jump but alternator gives only 11.5 Volt. Mechanics says its is electric issue electric guy says it is not. I am lost please help.

Does it increase in voltage when you rev the engine?  If not, bad alternator.  If yes, replace battery and find out what's drawing so much current (ampmeter and pull fuses... ).

Get your battery tested. It could have an internal short.

With the vehicle off, disconnect the battery. Then measure the resistance between the pos and neg cables. It should be very high. If not then you've got a short in your vehicle wiring.
