Always rough idle

I always experience a vibration in the cabin when at idle. P or N its not as bad but I still know its there.

D or R and I fell it a lot more.

Finally got a scan tool to see live data and the TPS at a minimum stays at 12.5% but does change with operation.

Fuel trims dont look too off, but MAP seems low like its not pulling a full vacuum.

Of course I still need to try and clean the throttle plate. Motor mounts got replaced a year ago and they still look fine.

How can I tell if my TPS is bad if cleaning doesnt help, or what else can I check for?

please fill out your details per the instructions. Thanks.

Check the easy stuff first.  Air filter, clean MAF sensor, clean MAP sensor and throttle body. If the TPS seems bad, they are only $42.99 at AutoZone. It might also be the PCV valve.  $1.99.

Is the engine actually shaking or are you just feeling vibration inside the car? If the latter, check your engine mounts which, if original, are 19 years old.

The main purpose of cleaning the butterfly valve on the throttle body is for smoothness of idle. So, I concur with Doc, on that suggestion and with the PCV valve. They're all potential variables, here.

Chuck makes a good point as well, on the motor mounts.

Additionally, if you haven't done it already, check your engine air filter. If it's dirty, replace it. Restricted air flow at idle could be an additional factor.

There may be more than one reason that the vehicle vibrates. Start with the easy and cheap, and work up from there.
