Hey everyone I had a question about cars in general, but in case it matters specifically a 2007 Lexus LS 460, typically when I get my battery load tested if it shows that I have a low battery I buy a new battery, but I don't install it until the old one has died completely. Am I hurting any electronics within the car while doing this?

probably will not hurt anything, but you will most likely lose all your memory settings, i just purchased a OBD memory saver just in case

they can be a hassle to reset sometimes, could require a code from the owners manual

Yes. You'll overwork the alternator and shorten its life.
