Hello Scotty! I have a question about AMS oil. My uncle uses nothing but AMS oil on all his rigs. He changes oil every 10,000 miles with changing the filter in between every 5,000. I’ve heard lots of good things about AMS oil but do you think the hype on it is real? Or do you think it’s highly unsafe to change oil with my uncles method and better to use any cheaper brand oil every 3-5,000 miles. I drive a Tacoma that requires synthetic 0w20 oil. My grandpa always said whatever oil you roll with stick with it and don’t play around with different oils haha. Sorry for the paragraph hope you can help thanks!
Scotty has talked about these "premium" oils before. It's mostly hype. It's great oil but overpriced. Any quality synthetic oil is suitable for a regular Toyota like that. You're just throwing your money away by using that fancy oil.
@rpmartin32
Right on thanks for the input.
Amsoil is a tiny bit better, but not worth the cost in my opinion.

Good one. Project farm contests are fun to watch.
Overpriced and mostly hype.
